What is CCS, and what do we do?
CCS is an undergraduate student society organized and run by and for Communications Students. We provide opportunities for members by integrating fundraising initiatives, a mentorship program, social nights, and professional activities throughout the year.
We are operated by a team of executive members that are elected into their positions making up as: President, Vice-President, VP Communications, VP Internal, VP External, VP Student Engagement, VP Finance, VP Special Events, VP Community Outreach.
We pride ourselves on diversity and acceptability amongst Communications students at Carleton. We urge everyone to become involved and either sign up for our social events or run to be on the executive team or as a year representative. Becoming a member of CCS allows you to add a CCR credit onto your transcript at Carleton. You can become a member for as little as 5$ today.
Plus, we can an incredible Mentorship program that matches up upper year students with first year students to assist them with the transition into University, course help and everything and more a mentor is to you. We create pairings every year, so there’s always a chance to sign up!
We also allow blog submissions regarding any sort of school or communications/media related topics. More information about our blog can be found here.
We can’t wait to see you around at our social events and don’t hesitate to contact us for any questions, comments or concerns.
